John is a retired city planner and civil engineer who worked most of his career for the City of Ankeny, Iowa. He is the Founder and Principal of Peterson Planning Strategies, LLC, a small consulting firm providing comprehensive planning, neighborhood planning and policy development for cities and counties in Iowa.
